What Is the Evil Kermit Meme?

The image shows Kermit the Frog facing a second Kermit dressed in a black hood. The two figures are close together against a dark background, with the hooded Kermit looking like a sinister double. The meme turns an inner conflict into a conversation: one side represents what you know you should do, while Evil Kermit voices the tempting, selfish, or impulsive choice.

Where the Meme Comes From

The two Kermits are from the 2014 film *Muppets Most Wanted*. In the film, Kermit encounters his lookalike, Constantine, who wears a dark hood as part of his disguise. A still of Kermit facing the hooded figure became a meme in the mid-2010s, spreading on social media as a format for portraying bad ideas and guilty impulses.

How to Use the Template

Use the boxes to set up a thought and its tempting counterargument:

1. Good intention: Write what you plan or know you should do, such as "I'm going to save money this month."
2. Evil Kermit's suggestion: Add the impulse that undermines that plan, such as "Buy another coffee machine."

The contrast works best when the second line is a believable temptation.
