What Is the Boardroom Meeting Suggestion Meme?

The Boardroom Meeting Suggestion template is a three-panel comic. In the first panel, a man leans over a conference table to speak while two colleagues sit opposite him. In the second, the colleagues offer suggestions, and the man sits at the far right with his head in his hand. In the final panel, the man appears in a large red display as he is flung from a building; a smaller view shows him falling outside. The four speech bubbles are left blank for captions.

The meme is used for a meeting or group discussion where someone makes an unpopular suggestion and gets dismissed, rejected, or metaphorically thrown out. It is also searched as the Boardroom Meeting meme, Meeting Suggestion meme, or guy thrown out of window meme.

Where the Meme Comes From

The template comes from a comic-style illustration of a workplace meeting, followed by a visual gag in which the person making the suggestion is ejected from the building. The image is commonly shared as a multi-panel meme template. The exact original artist and first posting are not reliably established, so it is safest to describe its source as an online comic image rather than assign it a specific publication or date. It spread as a captioned reaction meme on social media and meme-sharing forums.

How to Use the Template

Fill the four speech bubbles in order, from the first panel to the second:

1. Opening suggestion: Put the first idea in the large bubble above the meeting table, such as “We could make Mondays optional.”
2. Colleague’s response: Use the small left bubble in the second panel for a supportive or practical suggestion, such as “Start with a trial month.”
3. Another response: Put a second idea in the middle bubble, such as “Let each team choose.”
4. Rejected suggestion: Use the large right bubble above the man at the table for the idea that gets him thrown out, such as “Or we could cancel all meetings.”

The comic’s gag works best when the last suggestion is especially blunt, disruptive, or out of step with the group.
