What Is the Look at Me Meme?

The Look at Me template is a square photo of a man with short, curly hair looking directly ahead while holding two fingers up beside his face. He is indoors in front of a bright window, with a serious, intent expression. The two text boxes let you set up a situation and then make the person or message that demands attention the punchline. It is useful for calling out something obvious, insisting that someone notice a point, or highlighting a detail people keep missing.

Where the Meme Comes From

The image is a still photograph of a man indoors, with a bright window behind him. The source and the circumstances of the photo are not clear from the template itself, so it is best understood as a reaction image rather than tied to a specific film, show, or event. It circulates online as a way to portray someone insisting on attention or emphasizing a point.

How to Use the Template

Use the two boxes to set up what is being overlooked and what insists on being noticed:

1. What gets overlooked: Name the situation or detail, such as "The deadline is tomorrow".
2. Look at me: Write the thing demanding attention, such as "The project I haven't started".
