What we do

Shorts AI is an AI-powered video generation platform. We create short-form videos using artificial intelligence, including AI-generated voiceovers, images, captions, and AI-generated video content (UGC-style talking videos). Users can optionally connect their social media accounts to publish generated videos directly to platforms such as YouTube.

Data you provide to us

The information you provide to us includes your email address and the password of your choice. This forms the necessary data required for you to be a member of the Website and use its features.

If you choose to sign in using 'Login with Google', we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We use this information solely to create and manage your account. We do not access any other Google account data beyond what is described in this policy.

During registration of an account, we capture additional details such as the Internet Protocol address (IP), date and time of registration and the source from where the user was referred to us (Google search, a referral by another user or other).

While you use your account, we capture details of your activity on the Website to help improve the security of your account (details of your last login, activity and others) and to provide our services.

All the above form the 'Account Data'.

Google API Services & YouTube data

When you connect your YouTube account to Shorts AI, we request the following permissions (OAuth scopes):

youtube.upload — to upload videos you have generated to your YouTube channel on your behalf
youtube.readonly — to read your channel name and basic channel information for display within our interface

We store an encrypted OAuth access token and refresh token so that we can maintain the connection to your YouTube account and automatically refresh the access when it expires. These tokens are stored securely on our servers and are only used to perform the actions you have authorised (uploading videos and reading channel information).

We do not access, store or share your YouTube viewing history, subscriptions, playlists, comments, likes, or any other YouTube data beyond what is described above.

Shorts AI's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use your personal data

We use your data to provide you the ability to use the features of the Website, including:

Creating and managing your account
Generating AI videos based on your inputs and preferences
Uploading videos to your connected social media accounts when you request it or when automated series delivery is configured by you
Detecting and preventing fraudulent behaviour
Improving our services

The data we hold for you may be used to contact you by email (where appropriate and we hold such data for you).

Content you create

Videos, scripts, images and other content generated through our Service using your inputs are processed by third-party AI service providers. The text prompts and parameters you provide may be sent to these providers to generate the content. We do not share your personal account data (email, name, etc.) with these AI providers — only the creative inputs necessary to generate the content you have requested.

Providing your personal data to others

We will never share or provide your personally identifiable data to third party services unless we have your permission to do so or as outlined in this policy.

Your data may be shared between other websites that are owned by Shorts AI.

We will share your data when required by law or a court order.

When you connect a social media account (e.g. YouTube) and use our posting features, we transmit the video content and metadata (title, description, visibility setting) you have specified to that platform on your behalf. No other personal data is shared with these platforms beyond what is necessary to perform the upload.

Security of personal data

All data you provide to us is stored on secure server space and no unauthorized individuals or groups will have access to it.

Your password is securely encrypted with a one-way encryption system and you are the only one who can decode the password by knowing it.

OAuth tokens for connected social media accounts are stored securely in our database and are only used for the authorised purposes described in this policy.

All staff or employees of Shorts AI, where necessary, may gain access to the data you provide to us for the purposes of the Website's operation or communication with you.

We may transfer, store and process your data outside of the European Economic Area ("EEA"). When we do so, we will take all reasonably necessary steps to ensure this is done in a secure way.

While we will do our best to ensure security of your data by following security best practice, ultimately transfers or communication over the Internet may not be completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of data transferred through the Website.

If we become aware of a data breach, we will contact all the individuals we believe were affected.

Notifications

You agree to receive essential system generated email messages such as password resets, email address confirmation and others sent to you based on the actions you carry out on the Website.

It is not possible to unsubscribe from system generated email messages.

We may also send you other types of notifications such as daily reminders, news, offers and others. The preferences can be managed from the footer of the email message.

Communication

Any messages sent to us by you may be stored in CRM systems indefinitely. We will read and reply where appropriate or necessary to any communication received from you.

We track the emails that we send to you to monitor and assess the effectiveness of them and the Website's operational aspect.

Third party services

We utilise various third party service providers to operate our platform and deliver our services. Each service provider has their own privacy policy.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Generated videos and associated data are retained to provide you with access to your content.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time by contacting us using the contact page at the bottom of the Website. Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete your personal data within 30 days.

You can disconnect any connected social media account at any time from your account settings. When you disconnect an account, we delete the stored access and refresh tokens for that connection. Disconnecting does not remove any content already published to the social media platform.

Revoking Google access

You can revoke Shorts AI's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page and removing Shorts AI. You can also disconnect from within the Shorts AI Social Accounts settings.

Updating information

You have the right to update the information we store about you by logging into your account and visiting the Settings page.
