What Is the Change My Mind Meme?

The Change My Mind meme shows a man seated behind a folding table outdoors, holding a mug. Papers and another mug sit on the dark tabletop, and a large white sign on the front reads “CHANGE MY MIND.” The blank space on the sign is where the opinion goes. The meme presents a debatable or deliberately provocative claim as a challenge: persuade the person who posted it to reconsider.

It is also searched as the Change My Mind sign or Steven Crowder Change My Mind meme.

Where the Meme Comes From

The image comes from a promotional event for the political commentary series *Louder with Crowder*. Steven Crowder sat behind a sign inviting people to change his mind, and the setup was photographed on a college campus in 2018. The photo spread online and became a widely used meme template, with the sign’s challenge repurposed for opinions about everyday life, entertainment, work and politics.

How to Use the Template

There are two text areas, read from top to bottom:

  1. Your opinion: Put a short claim on the blank part of the sign, such as “Pineapple belongs on pizza.”
  2. Change my mind: The printed challenge is already on the sign; use this box for a brief qualifier or leave it blank, such as “Change my mind.”

Keep the main claim concise so it fits on the sign and reads clearly.
