Disaster Girl Meme Template & Generator

What Is the Disaster Girl Meme?

Disaster Girl shows a young girl in the foreground looking toward the camera with a slight, knowing smile. Behind her, a building is on fire, with smoke rising and firefighters and a fire truck at the scene. The contrast between her composed expression and the emergency makes the image work as a reaction to a small or large mess someone seems pleased to have caused, or to an unlikely situation that has gone wrong.

It is also searched as the Disaster Girl photo or fire girl meme.

Where the Meme Comes From

The image is a photograph of a real house fire, with the girl posed in the foreground. It became widely known online as a meme in the late 2000s, as people added captions that cast the girl as the cause of whatever is burning or going wrong. The familiar use relies on the photo's visual contrast rather than a scene from a film or television show.

How to Use the Template

Use the two text boxes to set up the situation and give the girl's expression a meaning:

1. Top text: Name the plan, mistake, or situation, such as "I said I could fix the printer".
2. Bottom text: Add the consequence or the girl's implied reaction, such as "Now the office is on fire".
