The Rock Driving Meme Template & Generator

What Is the The Rock Driving Meme?

The Rock Driving is a three-panel film still sequence inside a car. In the top panel, Dwayne Johnson drives and speaks, with a blank speech bubble beside his face. In the middle panel, a blonde woman sits in the passenger seat with another blank speech bubble beside her. The bottom panel shows Johnson turning around with a wide-eyed, startled expression. The two bubbles invite a back-and-forth exchange, while the final reaction adds surprise, discomfort, or disbelief.

People use the template for awkward conversations, unexpected answers, and situations where someone reacts strongly to what a passenger says. It is also searched as The Rock car meme and Dwayne Johnson driving meme.

Where the Meme Comes From

The images show Dwayne Johnson and a blonde woman in a car, followed by Johnson looking back with a startled expression. The template comes from a film scene, though the exact source and when this particular three-panel arrangement began circulating are not firmly established. It is generally shared online as a reaction meme, with the blank speech bubbles used to supply the dialogue.

How to Use the Template

Fill in the two speech bubbles in order:

1. Driver's line: Write what The Rock says or asks, such as "Did you finish the last slice?"
2. Passenger's reply: Give the answer that prompts his reaction, such as "I saved you the crust."

The bottom panel has no text box, so keep the dialogue short enough to make his expression deliver the punchline.
