Where the Meme Comes From

The image comes from a video of Bernie Sanders speaking outdoors during his 2020 U.S. presidential campaign. In the clip, he says, “I am once again asking for your financial support.” The video spread widely online in early 2020, and its phrasing became a reusable format for joking about repeated requests. This blank image shows Sanders outdoors in a brown winter coat, but does not include the original video’s text.

How to Use the Template

The template has two text boxes, ordered from top to bottom:

1. The request: Write what Sanders is asking for, such as “Please remember to bring snacks.”
2. The repeated appeal: Add the specific thing he wants, such as “your good snacks, not the plain crackers.”

Keep the two lines connected so the second one clarifies or sharpens the request.
