Friendship Ended Meme Template & Generator

What Is the Friendship Ended Meme?

The image shows a man in a checked shirt shaking hands with another man in a light shirt, with a large heading at the top. In the middle, the text says the friendship with one person has ended and names someone else as the new best friend. Two smaller photos sit at the bottom: the person being rejected is crossed out in green, while the replacement is marked with a green check. The meme expresses abruptly dropping one favorite in favor of another, often for a trivial reason.

It is also searched as the Friendship Ended with Mudasir or Now Salman Is My Best Friend meme.

Where the Meme Comes From

This template is based on a photograph of two men shaking hands, paired with smaller portraits marked with a cross and a check. The version shown includes the names Mudasir and Salman in its text. The image circulated online as a meme, and the format became recognizable through its simple before-and-after joke: one person is out, another is in. The precise original source and date of the photograph are not firmly established, so the template is best understood through the widely shared image and its accompanying text.

How to Use the Template

Use the two text boxes to name the person being replaced and the new favorite, in that order.

1. Friendship ended with: Name the person, thing, or habit you are dropping. Example: "Friendship ended with takeout".
2. Now my best friend is: Name the new favorite or replacement. Example: "Now my best friend is homemade pasta".
