What Is the I Bet He's Thinking About Other Women Meme?

The image shows a woman and a man lying in bed beside each other. The woman looks over at him with a suspicious expression, while he faces away, staring off with a pensive look. The meme pairs her imagined explanation of what he is thinking with the man's actual, often absurd or mundane thought. The joke comes from the gap between her concern and what is really on his mind.

Where the Meme Comes From

The template uses a stock-style photograph of a couple lying in bed. It spread as a two-panel meme on social media, with one caption for the woman's assumption and another for the man's thoughts. The exact original source and first circulation of the photograph are not widely established, so the meme is best understood through the contrast in its captions rather than a specific film or show.

How to Use the Template

Use the two boxes to set up the woman's suspicion and reveal his thought:

1. Her assumption: Put what she thinks he is thinking here, such as "He's thinking about someone else."
2. His actual thought: Add the unexpected thought he is having, such as "I wonder if penguins have knees."
